The amount used to make a golf ball was not uniform, from this early era, both large & small balls were made, this ball is slightly smaller than a later molded Gutty balls. Hand rolled and then painted. Flecks of discoloured paint can still be seen with a magnifying glass. A wonderful find, as only a few still exist.
