Lot Information

John Derr first reported on the US Masters in 1935 and was the lead CBS Television announcer at the tournament from 1958 to 1973. From Bobby Jones to Babe Zaharias and Arnold Palmer to Ben Hogan, John has met all the golfing greats. Some meetings have only been brief encounters, while others such as Bobby Jones, Sam Snead and Ben Hogan, developed into close friendships that lasted till their deaths. Over his 70 years in the world of golf, John had amassed a collection of antiques and memorabilia that would be the envy of anyone who collects golf, and a number of his items are so unique, they're almost impossible to value. This item you are bidding on comes from his personal collection it is in near perfect condition.
